These are the general terms of the relationship between you (the website visitor) and us (the website owner – Saxenburg Wine Estate (Pty) Ltd). They cover any use of www.saxenburg.co.za (the website). You agree to be legally bound by the terms by visiting and using this website. Please do not use the website if you do not agree to the terms.

Goods and Services

Saxenburg Wine Estate is a producer of wine products.

Capacity

If you are under the age of 18, you may not respond to or otherwise accept or act upon any offers on the website.

Alcohol Sales

By ordering and purchasing products that contain alcohol, you acknowledge that you are of legal drinking age in the country you are accessing this website. For this reason, positive identification may be requested and we may refuse an order at our discretion.

Delivery Policy

Subject to availability and receipt of payment, requests will be processed within 2 working days. Cost of delivery: 

  • Free Shipping for purchases over R1,500.00.
  • Flat Rate: R90.00 for purchases under R1,500.00.
  • Local collection is available directly from Saxenburg.
Geography

The offering on this website is available to South African clients. Should you wish to purchase wine outside of South Africa, please mail info@saxenburg.co.za for a quotation.

Customer privacy policy

Saxenburg shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, “personal information” shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). Card acquiring and security

Card transactions will be acquired for Saxenburg via PayFast (Pty) Ltd who are the approved payment gateway for all South African Acquiring Banks. PayFast uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no Card details are stored on the website. Users may go to www.payfast.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy.

Customer details

Customer details will be stored by Saxenburg separately from card details which are entered by the client on PayFast’s secure site. For more detail on PayFast refer to www.payfast.co.za.

Currency

The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction currency is South African Rand (ZAR).

Responsibility

Saxenburg takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of goods and services sold on this website, customer service and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods.

Country of domicile

This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and Saxenburg chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature.

Variation

Saxenburg may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice. If you do not agree with the change, you must stop using this website or the changed terms will apply to you.

Return and refunds policy

The provision of goods and Saxenburg wines is subject to availability. In cases of unavailability, Saxenburg Wines will refund the client in full within 30 days.

Goods are shipped and handled with care.

We supply wine and farm products which are perishable and non-returnable. If, however, your products have arrived damaged we will replace or refund them when we are at fault.

Incorrect item delivered

We do our best to ensure the product information, availability, purchase price and associated delivery times and fees are accurately reflected on our site. Please notify us within 7 days (the sooner the better) by logging a return on our website.

However, should we accidentally deliver the wrong product to you:

  • Please do not remove the product from its original packaging or any of the stickers or labels.
  • Notify us as immediately and we will collect the product from you at no charge.

We will at your choosing:

  • deliver the correct item to you as soon as possible (if available); or
  • send you a voucher for the purchase price of the product; or
  • issue a refund (using the same method of payment you originally used for the purchase).
  • Please note that a refund is not available if the item was received as a gift.
Goods arrived damaged

If your goods arrive damaged, then we will do our best to resolve the issue. Please notify us within 7 days (the sooner the better) by logging a return on our website.

We will require the following information to assess where in the delivery process the damage may have occurred:

  • photograph of the outer box (including whether it has a Fragile sticker or not);
  • photograph of the inside of the box, including the inner packaging; and
  • photograph of the damaged item.

If necessary we will arrange collection of the product from you at no charge. Once we have inspected the product or photographs and validated your return (if needed), we will, according to your preference:

  • replace the product (if available); or
  • issue a refund voucher for the purchase price of the product or
  • issue a refund (using the same method of payment you originally used for the purchase).
  • Please note that a refund is not available if the item was received as a gift.
Customer queries and complaints

We aim for complete customer satisfaction. We respect our customers’ rights and always try to comply with best practice and all relevant laws. If you are not satisfied with any of our goods, or have any questions, please contact our customer support department and have your invoice ready. We will try our best to solve your problem. We are proud of the reputation of our goods.

Dispute resolution

If we do not accept that we supplied defective or unsuitable goods, and our customer support department has not been able to help, any customer may still take the matter up with a suitable ombud or other dispute resolution body.
