Saxenburg Featured in Vogue Taiwan
We are proud to share that Vogue Taiwan recently featured Saxenburg Wine Estate.
Welcoming the Vogue Taiwan team to our farm in the Polkadraai Hills was a memorable experience for everyone at Saxenburg Wine Estate. We spent some time in the vineyards with them to share the story behind what we create. It was such a privilege to introduce them to our terroir and our wines, the heart of the place we call home.
The feature captured many of the elements that make Saxenburg unique. As they wrote, “a glass of wine is not merely a layering of flavours, but a reflection of a piece of land.” This idea is central to our philosophy. Every wine is characterised by our soil and the cool ocean breeze in the vineyard, as well as expert hands that make sure the finest quality reaches our bottles.
Vogue Taiwan also explained the history of our estate to their readers, which dates to 1693, and our long-standing focus on Syrah. They describe Saxenburg Syrah as combining “the vibrant fruit of the New World with the elegant structure of the Old World,” and compliment the balance and structure that define the wines from our vineyards.
We especially appreciated how the article captured the atmosphere of the farm. The Vogue Taiwan team experienced the slower pace of life on the estate, took in the views and enjoyed some of our award-winning wines. Their visit reminded us how special it is to share this part of South Africa with guests from around the world. Saxenburg has always been a place shaped by history and a passion for wine, and it was meaningful to see that story shared with an international audience.
