The Saxenburg Private Collection Méthode Cap Classique NV has a refreshing and fine mousse. Fresh apple and yeasty flavours complement the biscuity richness. It is crispy and fresh on the palate with some yeasty and bready flavours and ample structure. The finish is long and smooth. This wine will develop nicely over time and will become more complex. It is perfect for an aperitif. It pairs well with oysters, sushi and any delicate seafood or enjoy with celebrations.
Private Collection Shiraz 2016
This 100% Shiraz with its warm sweet-spicy flavours and dark fruit notes shows a fine balance between fruit and tannin. This Shiraz is very well balanced and ends with a rich, full mouthfeel and creamy aftertaste. The wood is well integrated and the fresh acidity compliments this wine. This elegant wine is best complimented by game or full-flavoured meat dishes.
Private Collection Sauvignon Blanc-Semillon Blend 2011
This Saxenburg Private Collection Sauvignon Blanc – Semillon Blend 2011 shows some elegant light wood citrus and lanolin on the flavour. The taste is fruity, full, long and clean and some youth on the aftertaste. It goes well with salads, lighter summer dishes and seafood, or enjoy on its own on a nice summer day.
Private Collection Chardonnay 2018
The Private Collection Chardonnay 2018 shows lovely citrus fruit, ripe pineapple flesh and some nutty characters on the nose. A full-bodied Chardonnay that ends with nice fresh acidity. Creamy tannins that contribute to taste. It will complement most fish dishes or can be enjoyed with lighter meat dishes and creamy pasta.
Private Collection Sauvignon Blanc 2019
The Saxenburg Private Collection Sauvignon Blanc 2019 shows lovely flavours like granadilla, grapefruit, pears, with hints of capsicum and mineral flavours. Well-structured on the palate, with all the flavours prominent. The acidity is supporting the mouthfeel, with a long lingering aftertaste. This wine goes well with salads, lighter summer dishes and seafood, or enjoy on its own on a nice summer day.
Private Collection Guinea Fowl Red 2017
The Saxenburg Guinea Fowl Red 2017 is a classical South African, Bordeaux styled blend. It is medium-bodied and approachable, but with beautiful concentration and length. Enticing notes of dark cherries, plums and spice on the nose, with soft tannins on the palate. An ideal wine for better casual meals and occasions. This red blend will complement game, full-flavoured red meat dishes as well as pasta and pizza.
