The Saxenburg Private Collection Syrah 2017 has a beautiful nose of black cherries, red berries and a hint of pepper and spice. The palate is seamless – the tannin dense, but finely grained. Hints of oak are beautifully integrated and only adds to the incredible complexity. A note of crushed granite and floral elements brings freshness to the palate that finishes with sweet spice.

This is the first vintage labelled as Syrah and not Shiraz. Our new Syrah reflects the efforts in the vineyard and winery to strive for greater elegance and balance while staying true to the heritage of Saxenburg.
