The Saxenburg Private Collection Sauvignon Blanc 2024 has floral aromas of elderflower and pear blossoms that greet the senses, accompanied by tropical notes of passion fruit, ripe figs and guava which knit the bouquet together. Subtle undertones of spicy peach and a refreshing saline minerality, influenced by the cool sea breezes, add depth and intrigue. On the palate, a silky texture coats the palate and a lively acidity imparts a satisfying length to the wine.
Food Pairing
This wine goes well with salads, lighter summer dishes, and seafood, or enjoy it on its own on a nice summer day. Suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
Winemaker’s Comments
The 2024 vintage can be described as a crop that was small but of high quality. The bunches and resulting berries were small, which gave great concentration to the resulting wines. A small percentage of oak was used in this wine with the addition of 2% Semillon to add to the mid-palate. .
