The Saxenburg Private Collection Shiraz 2016 has a beautiful nose of black cherries, red berries and a hint of pepper and spice. The palate is seamless – the tannin dense, but finely grained. Hints of oak are beautifully integrated and only adds to the incredible complexity. A note of crushed granite and floral elements brings freshness to the palate that finishes with sweet spice. This is the first vintage labelled as Syrah and not Shiraz. This reflects the efforts in the vineyard and winery to strive for greater elegance and balance while staying true to the heritage of Saxenburg.

The Saxenburg Private Collection Méthode Cap Classique NV has a refreshing and fine mousse. Fresh apple and yeasty flavours complement the biscuity richness. It is crispy and fresh on the palate with some yeasty and bready flavours and ample structure. The finish is long and smooth. This wine will develop nicely over time and will become more complex. It is perfect for an aperitif. It pairs well with oysters, sushi and any delicate seafood or enjoy with celebrations.

The Saxenburg Private Collection Sauvignon Blanc 2019 shows lovely flavours like granadilla, grapefruit, pears, with hints of capsicum and mineral flavours. Well-structured on the palate, with all the flavours prominent. The acidity is supporting the mouthfeel, with a long lingering aftertaste.
